Renato’s is a bar, restaurant and pizzeria in the heart of Bristol; a renowned late night venue split over two floors in a Grade II listed building. Located on Bristol’s historic King Street, Renato’s was reopened by Left Handed Giant in 2023, serving NY and Detroit-style pizzas as well as a menu of Italian-American inspired food with a local twist. The venue blends some old school Italian charm with a contemporary offering and aesthetic.

One side of the ground floor houses a bar serving cocktails, craft beers and natural wines, while the other is home to a pizzeria, serving New York and Detroit-style pizza, with local DJs spinning tunes until the small hours of the morning.

Upstairs is a relaxed, intimate and slightly more elevated dining experience. The restaurant offers a range of seasonal dishes, pizzas, desserts and a carefully curated wine list.

Dating back to the 1650s, ‘La Taverna dell’Artista’ first opened under the Renato's family name in 1980 and has been a go-to destination for theatre goers, actors, musicians, artists, students and journalists for over 40 years - we have recently welcomed stars as diverse as Grammy-award -winning rapper Killer Mike and Draco out of Harry Potter.

Since reopening under new management our team have had the honour of stewarding the venue into the 21st century, introducing modern takes on classic ideas and having some fun while doing it.
